You know, it would look even better polished, has fantastic curves and plenty of visibility.

Mike's a very adaptable dude, I'm sure he will:
1. Adapt the oval ford cobra air cleaner to hide the origin of the engine.
2. Mill up some adaptors to fit the ford finned tappet covers.
That should make it perfect.

I just threw out a couple of old 351 Clevo Dizzys as well . I could machine a hole in the valley cover and just jam one in there. Easier still just cut the shaft off the bottom of an old dizzy a stick it on with some "no more nails"
Cheers

I reckon thrill per second the Cobras win hands down. Plenty of excitement and noise even if you aren't going that fast. The whole no roof and side pipes experience really adds to it.
There's an old Datto 1600 with a 2L Turbo motor that turns up regularly at the nats. It keeps most of the Cobras in its rear vision mirror. I reckon I'd have more fun being passed by whilst driving in my Cobra than driving it and passing everyone.
Yep, Cameron, Phil N and Phil M are some of the guys I really want to chase around the track and hence the choice of going with the N/A 346 motor. I reckon this will be about the most fun class in coming years with the cars being built at the moment.
As for engineering marvel, I don't know about that. Besides it doesn't matter how well bolted together it is if the nut behind the wheel can't steer. I think I will be the biggest limiting factor in my cars performance. I am looking forward to learning though.
Cheers

He may even mount a dummy distributor?
Looks like I have been beaten to it.

Les has been a closet dark sider for some time. It's time to put your storm trooper helmet on and step out and join the ranks Les.
