All true mate. But what we need is solid political debate from our leaders, instead of watching them serving their own interests on television every night. Every election it becomes more and more like the American presidential circus and I'm sick to death of it.

Exactly Sambo, solid political debate happens when one party does not have a majority in the houses.

Maybe we need a second strong party in opposition to help keep them all honest.

Count your lucky stars where you live.

One the best performing western economies (even more so when you consider there is more sheep than people!!).

Freedom of speech and the other related nicities!

Whether its Labour (sorry Labor - bloody yanks!) or the other mob I think you will find that both party's policies will end up being much of the same.

The top end of town won't let them be any different.

Don't think that if Labour get in they will sucumb to the unions - simply won't happen.

And Les you are right those frontiers do need defending - The Gateway Tolls would be ideal to stop you scallywags trying to reach the better end of the City

Apoligies for hijacking, but politics, religion and sex are pretty high on my agenda - well sex is good!

Gawd, bluddy hell uncle Pete.

I surely agree we live in the best country in the world.....that's why we can't allow those who control the purse strings to screw up any further.

So uncle Pete, were you the one responsible for increasing the Gateway toll to $2.60?. and.....I'm sure you've noticed.....work progresses on sections of the gateway on the north side. Good to see capital monies being spent where it is deserved.

What's sex??

Was that WHAT Sex or what's sex

Having being stuck in traffic for an hour last night (on your side I would add) the second bridge will be very much anticipated. No doubt this will push the queue back down to our neck of the woods.

Keep the flag flying redneck

My last quote on this thread.

I think this is where this thread started.

NSW Burnout/Street Racing legislation allows the motor vehicle of offenders to be confiscated and sold for 2nd & subsequent offences.

I certainly don't think that the cars should be used as crash test models by the RTA then the videos of their destruction sent to the previous owners.

In my opinion, those confiscated vehicles should be sold, along with vehicles of repeat offenders who have been convicted of dangerous, disqualified and high range drink driving.

The money raised from the sale of their vehicles should be used solely for the rehabilitation of persons who have been maimed and injured by these lunatics.

Besides that, I think the current Government in NSW stinks.

Baz.

I'm far from a legal eagle but doesn't a finance company retain ownership until the property is paid off in full.

So the force may well be crushing the property of an insurance company.

Failing that...stop paying it off and have the thing repossessed.

Interesting question.

Nothing changes. The Finance Companies still go the owners for what's outstanding.

I heard an interview with an important Major General the other day. He said (politely) that they will not take on...Dickheads. The americans do this in the form of marines. Look at the stories out of Iraq. Dummies with guns
