This is for external use. I am covering the inside of the transmission tunnel, outside of foot boxes and all of the cockpit sheetmetal floors. The edges are being finished off with high temp foil tape.

Next time your in Melbourne go to Meridian Motor sport in Moorabbin.
They stock a product that is about 3mm thick , it has an outer layer of aluminum heat sheild then a layer of material in the middle that stops the heat transfer then a layer of glue. So you can just stick straight to what ever surface you want. It comes in a roll 900mm x 500mm. I have used it under floor and on some sections of the firewall.
