Brett's heat shields look good. The cobra lettering is practical as well since it lets the air circulate through there.
I'm building some socially concious side pipes that will be ready for the Nationals.
Cheers

Side pipes on both sides are legal in WA if you pay a $52.00 exemption fee, but they must have heatshields for the vehicle to be licensed. Mine are perforated stainless and I am very happy with the look, they still get warm but do not burn you.

Ross,
While I am not a fan of heat shields in general, I really like the look of yours. They are probably the best looking heat shields that I have seen on a Cobra. Very neat. How are they attached to the side pipes?

Hi Baz,
My sidepipes were made by RMC, the heatshields are held on by 6 screws that go into nuts that have been welded onto the exhaust pipe. They are easy to remove if your want to clean or polish the pipe underneath. You can see the 6 round head cap screws in the photo.

Were the heat shields supplied from RMC too? If not, could you tell me where you acquired them? Name of Company, address, web site, email address, telephone No. please.

Here ya go...... Treat those burned by your side pipes with the kit below and give them lots of sympathy. Maybe they won't sue you!

I ordered raw steel shields from cobrastuff.com. (chrome and ceramic coated also available). I cleaned up the corners with a grinder wheel, and sprayed them 3 coats of high heat satin black paint. Buff them with flat newspaper sheets after first heat cycle. $160 plus $15 shipping. They may ship to downunder, don't know...

Hi Baz,
The heatshields are made by RMC, they have the stainless steel laser cut and polished. They can probably supply them flat and you can have them rolled to fit in Qld.
Cheers
