Ed & Chanmadd....Yes, it's just as well the steering wheel is on the "right" side...It cost me a couple of bucks more than what it would have cost had I been able to buy a lefty in the US!

NHVANA....Not really sure on the timing to get it on the road......The engineer/installer/tuner that I have asked to put the engine/transmission in is a perfectionist in not only the engineering, but also the finished look, so I think it will be a good few weeks yet! Then I have the whole registration process, and I have no idea what that will take, but I'm loving the journey and I'm not going to rush anything!

Mando....Yes, they're 17's on there.

Trev....I have'nt wiped the grin off my face all week!

Regards......Paul

Congrats Paul. The car looks fantastic. You mention that you have an LS7 to drop into it. Is the LS7 the 7 litre 427ci GM engine?

There is a photo of a blue cobra in this thread with no roll bars. I reckon that it looks fantastic, but can anyone advise me if it could be used in competition on the track at the Nats., or is it merely a street cruiser?

Baz

Paul,

great to hear. I look forward to the baby pictures as the birth progresses. See you soon for the Nats trip

Congrats! That is a day you will remember forever. I waited 25 years too and talked about it for well about 25 years. Drove my friends and wife nuts!

My wife cried when the car rolled off the truck. It is a great moment that few truly understand......And it only gets better.

Enjoy every minute of it.

Baz...yep, it's the GM 427ci LS seriers motor, dry sump ect...I know that the old Ford vs Chev debate gets a lot of people excited, but I was simply seduced by the magical 427 number and it's Euro 4 compliant!

Cameron...Whilst I'm really looking forward to seeing my car completed, I'm also trying not to wish away each of my "baby" steps...I'm going to cherish each step, one step at a time....I got to discuss traction control choices last night with my installer and I even got excited about that!
Really looking forward to the trip up to the Nats!

Chris....My wife was very supportive and she has also been hearing me talk about Cobra's for as long as we've been married! No tears on the day, but bucket loads of adrenalin!!!

Regards.....Paul

Thanks Bernie,

You're right, it is sitting a bit high in the front hey??

Maybe a big, but "not so heavy" motor in the front will fix it??

Regards....Paul
