Default Genuine first (and second) start video

Massive day in the build today - got it running for the first time. Phil and Karen came over the lend a hand and it all went very smoothly. Used Les's idea with the pressure sprayer pack to prime the oil system - pumped to through the return line on the remote filter setup and was able to get good pressure registering on the gauge (great tip Les). Bleed the system of air nicely by cracking open the plug at the back of the heads while we filled (Thanks Phil). Few water leaks in the hoses quickly fixed. Once we got fuel pressure (you have to put around 7 litres in the CR stock VN tank for it to pick up right) didnt take it long to settle into a nice idle. The camera woman even got a bit teary. Great day and I cant stop smiling. Thanks Phil and Karen for coming over and sharing the moment.

All the wiring done myself - so nice to know it all works. It's not too difficult once you figure out what wire is what. (happy to share that info with anyone who needs it).

This is a genuine first start video.... Bit noisey as headers only - building my sidepipes next !

Second look at the video.

Looks like that Mizzi fella has a healthy respect for Chevs . He took two steps back when you went to fire it up.

Even warned Karen to stand clear.

Nothing like Life in the monster..."It's Alive" frankenstein esk. Congradulations on a clean first fire up. My first start was the bare engine on the shed floor, no manifolds lost of noise. The neighbours then knew I was building something bad !

Default Scared

Yep you got it Les,

I was a bit worried that one of those piston thingies might want to jump out, they tend to do that on these LS engines.

Andrew has edited the tape, Kay is crying because she said "it was supposed to sound like Phils, not dads lawn mower"

Phil
