You probably wouldn't get much change out of $17K going by the current prices on the Hare and Forbes web page. http://www.machineryhouse.com.au/Home I did a bit better than that buying a package deal.
I already had a fair bit of tooling from my old machines but that would be an exta expense if you were setting up from scratch.
There are plenty of really good machines for less, it depends on what you want to do. The current crop of Taiwanese
machines are very accurate and that's one of the things I was after.
