T56 Reverse Lockout Necessary?
Hi Guys
I slipped the engine and box into the car the other day and the transmission fit is really tight. In fact the right hand side is in contact with the aluminium chassis lining.
I recon if I remove the reverse lockout solenoid that it'll give me room to shift the box a little to the left thus giving relief to the contact problem.
I'm running a Mustang 302 so the ECU won't miss the solenoid on the T56, is there a problem with doing without it? I've be driving manual boxes for years and have never thrown reverse whilst moving forwards!!
Cheers
