Hi Max. This thread might have some clues, with at least one aluminium bodied Kirkham confirmed in Melbourne.

Aluminium bodied Cobras in Australia.

Maxwell, RMC Sportscars in WA are importing Kirkham rollers from Nevada.
Maybe worth talking to them.

Regards.

Soulman, if someone else posts them, they won't be in your gallery, so we can't click the camera icon under your name to see them. Best wait for IT support to arrive.

Hey there Soulman,
This may be a big coincidencs, I dont know.
But how many Black Cobra's would have been around in Victoria in the mid 80's, I guess not many.
I say this as it was a black Cobra that I saw as a young fella (thought it was early 80's) that made me fall in love with them, from memory it was down around Frankston way near the jetty when I saw it, fell in love and swore I would own one one day.
I am just wondering if your car is the same car.

Do you know all of its history?
Could it have been in the Bayside area in early to mid 80's?

Default Not sure Boxhead?

Not sure Boxhead ,
I do live bayside- Patterson Lakes. But definenitly wasnt driving mid 80s.The car is actually very dark blue but looks black.
The car you might have seen was a black Arntz with a Chev in it, this car was the reason i too fell in love with Cobras.
I remember first seeing it a MG car show in Toorak ,Melbourne, i was 17 at the time- now 42.
My car is 1968 registered with ford 407ci-stroked ,old school performance 450+hp.4spd toploader.S type jag rear end with an MG upgraded front end.All original dash and interior.Goes as well as it looks.
Im thinking about selling it as i havent driven for over 2 years-since i picked up my Kirkham.
So if you any one let me know.
Good luck.
Soul.

You may be right, as my memory places the car in about 1980-82, I was about 11-13.
I never saw under the bonnet and at that time would not have known anything about the motor apart from it being big and a V8.

For some reason I thought it was an Arntz car (not sure if there was a display sign or my stepfather pointed it out)

Unbelievable Soulman,

They have to be the 2 best looking Cobras ive seen.
Are u going to be at ShelbyFest?
How much do you think you will be selling the glass one for$$$. I was thinking of building a car but Victorian rego a real headache . If the blue one is registered as 1968 do ADR laws never apply? Whats the chances of talking to you direct? i live in Brighton .
Thanks Max.
