Paul

Used a combination of aluminium faced insulation in the engine compartment and also double layer aluminium heatshield from my donor car.

Over my cats cut a sheet of aluminium to fit between the chassis RHS and put in a layer of glass wool with the steel floorplate over to form a sandwich. Seems to work well.

Also have my exhaust ceramic coated which I am told reduces heat from it.

Regards
martin
