I built up the side with a fiberglass reinforced filler. I didn't do much to the underside as it was OK the way it looked and wouldn't be noticed anyway. The opening was enlarged and the whole profile was made symmetrical through the use of a simple template cut from a file folder. Three templates were made using the side of the scoop that was the larger of the two and working from the centerline.
