Yeah that's my plan for tomorrow. It was a good day in the garage, I got the Bellhousing plate bolted up, the water pump attached, the headers polished up, the engine primed, pullies installed, etc.. I was just hoping to get the pilot bearing installed. I put the motor together last weekend and was hoping to put it in next weekend. I'm going to go to CarQuest in the morning to see if my guy can help me out. Thanks.

Dave

Is this an aftermarket crankshaft or a factory crank?

That 15/16" dimension sounds small...if I remember right, the OD of the bushing/bearing should be around 1-3/8".

I can get you a RAM part number if you can give the measurement.

Brent, thanks. This is not a factory setup as the block is a SVO 351W block with Cleveland mains. There was a roller pilot bearing in there that I removed and didn't think much of it when I removed it a few months ago. The measurement is .9725 or 15/16. I have two Chevrolet roller pilot bearings sitting on the shelf but they are to big at about 1.125. This build has been a pain. LOL. Thank you for your help.

Let me look through the catalog again.

Keep in mind that 15/16" is .9375"....is your first measurement with a caliper?

Yep I fat fingered the keyboard this morning. You are right.. And yes I measured with a caliper. I'm confused too as I've never seen one this small of a OD either. The ID is .585 if that helps. Thanks for help.

That's a common ID....but that OD sure is whopper-jawed...

If you can't find anything, you may have to get a bushing and have the OD turned down.
