Two roll bars is a guarnateed way to ugly up a Cobra. They weren't used in the 60's and they're not needed now. When I see a Cobra with 2 roll brs my first thought is......crummy,budget kit( FFR,Shell Valley,Cmc)

Ironic, coming from an ERA guy directly below a picture of an ERA with 2 roll bars.

Even more irony. Other than Jay, a BDR dealer, not one BDR owner has replied to the OP's question.

Okay, here's a BDR guy with an opinion, but I am not sure this is really a BDR specific question (I understand it was asked in that context); it is really a larger ClubCobra question. I think Tom nailed it:
"Spouse rides along = yes
Instructor rides along on track days = yes
Max safety on track days = yes
Esthetics and none of the above = no"
I only have one hoop and while I have had passengers concerned about the lack of hoop and have not been able to have instructors ride along etc... those are occasional inconveniences. I only track it a few times a year but I would have to look at the second hoop every time I looked at the car and it was not worth the tradeoff - I just don't like the way it looks...

Oh you mean the "crummy kits" that car guys actually build themselves.
Shame on them they should be an elite owner like yourself.
BTW when you want a better replica step up to a Kirkham.

Dave (owner of Fac 5), years ago had a roll over in his cobra, he claims his driver side bar saved his life, they have lots of pics of the car, the whole thing is destroyed except the roll bar, seems safe for a passenger as well.

Well, in my opinion, your first thought is that of stuck up fuktard. I'm done.

I think this was the best response on the thread so far.
If you want to go full width or double or single but are concerned about blunt force trauma to the head then get high back seats. Nothing wrong with a pair of Kirkey seats in these imitation race cars with license plates.

That's a nice thing to say. FFR,Shell Valley, CMC, All can be great cars just depends on who is building them. Even if they are built by some one that dose not have very much experience they still put alot of work into there COBRA and should/can be very proud of their car.
