Plugs are easy. It's a hemi head, so the plugs are right on top.

The small racing alternator arrived today. Doesn't fit. Even with moving the engine over 1/2", there's not nearly enough room for an alternator in the stock location.

I sent an e-mail to Power by the Hour to see what they might have available. I like their front mounted alternator mount, that might work.

There's a ton of room on the right side of the engine, where the A/C compressor used to be. If I was willing to pull the engine back out, I might be able to fab a bracket to put it there. Trying to get it done while lying on my back in a tight space is almost impossible.

Bob, In your Alternator thread I had posted this pic but there are more in the Mayhem BDR thread. Vintagemotorsports are the folks that installed that setup.

Yeah, those are pretty helpful, too. I just wondered if you had more pictures of that particular installation.

I think I may end up putting it on the right side, and running it off of the A/C pulley. What a pain.

Found it. That's a pretty impressive build. Mine isn't nearly that impressive or high tech. Only a couple of pictures showing the alternator, and no real details. But it does give me some ideas.

I sent them an e-mail asking for more details. The parts are one off, I'm sure. But if they're willing to make them, I'm willing to buy.
BDR0572 and 1SwtRide like this.

Can the alternator be fitted in the normal manner on your passenger side just under the crank centreline next to the oil pan?
