What is involved when installing this start button on a car that has a standard keyed ignition switch? Any other parts required (relays, etc)?

Pretty much. It was pretty simple. The hardest part was cleaning up the mess from the Dremel I used to make the hole bigger.

The factory button is seemingly fixed with silicone into place. How would I get it loose to remove it?

Get an exacto model knife and carefully ring the silicone.
