Hello guys!
I would like to make a working horn button into the middle of the steering wheel! I think it will be a lot safer than trying to find the little red button in a
accidental situation.
Who allready did a conversion of this button into the steering wheel?
Would be glad to get some infos, what parts i need.
I allready have a momo steering wheel with a horn button.
I think I need something that is called in english slip-ring or so for the electrical contact.
I thought about something like that, but is there not a normal solution like all the other old cars have. The signal lever is from VW beetle, but there should be something like the beetle has. What about the newer backdraft cars, they have another signal lever and steering console! Would be glad to get more informations.

Mine works, its a Momo with slip ring and VW beetle turn signal with the high beam switch on the back of the lever. I made an insulation pad between the turn switch and the slip ring....to insulate it ..electrically..and it holds the ring from turning. The wire got a shrink wrap for strength and goes under the switch and through the dash to ....
If you already have a floor dimmer you can use this switch for a horn too.
The current standard wood-rim steering wheel as supplied by Backdraft does have the horn-button wired in the centre. I replaced the Backdraft logo on mine with a Cobra logo from Finishline.
