A "FE" not a big block ???????? who are you kidding ? Wow ! I suppose you think a "cammer" is nt a big block either ! LOL !!

Guys, A Big Block is dictated by the industry and history. Ford has always called an FE a big block. No grey area here. Stand up at a Cobra even and call an FE a small block and you will get stoned (with rocks) and taken away to the funny farm. No offense meant, just clarification. Everyone (most) knows that the FE and FT family of Ford engine, IS and has always been referred to as a "big block" The term "Big Block" refers to the engine family/series which is bigger than other family of V8 engine of that era. 260-289-351 ci engines will always be "small blocks" even if you bore and stroke them to 460 ci......It is still accepted in the performance industry as a small block. Cubes does not dictate calling it a big or small block......THE BLOCK DOES.
The smallest big-block Ford was the 332 (of 331.8 inł (5.44 L) true engine displacement) with a 4.0 in (101.6 mm) bore and 3.3 in (83.8 mm) stroke. It was only used in Ford-brand cars in 1958 and 1959. A two-barrel version produced 240 hp (179 kW), while a Holley four-barrel output 265 hp (198 kW).
So, yes, you can have a 427ci stroked 351W and it is still a small block engine, even though a 332ci is actually a big block........have I confused everyone including me?
Great looking BDR, first I have ever seen with a BIG BLOCK. Enjoy it.
