Default Ford FE Big Block in a Backdraft

I am close to chosing the motor after churning on the SMOG issues for so long. I wanted to find out if anyone out there has a Ford FE BB in a Backdraft. If so, could you share some after the fact information with us and what you learned during the process.

Thanks
Dinobyte

FE in BDR?

I can only comment regarding the BDR with FE since I do not have a BDR. You may want to consider the torque and HP and how it will work with the BMW IRS. You may need to beef it up a bit along with front spring load. Too much of anything HP, Torque, or weight may result in issues......

Love it... it is more than up to the task if you need some evidence:

The total weight difference when you have aluminum heads, intake, pump, etc. is what 40lbs???

580HP!!! Whoa

What transmission and what is the final rear gear ratio on your set-up?

Also, how is the handling? Aluminum intake and heads/overall weight?

Thanks
Dino
