My 392 crate came with the 2-sump pan and, as has been said, there is a inlet for the dip stick on the side of the pan. When I changed a larger pan, it did not have a dipstick port. My Ford guy said there was a knockout on the timing cover (as described above) and the Ford motorsport dipstick just presses in. Neat and easy...
