This is a common problem my clutch went out once and sure enough it was rod was loose in slave cylinder. Seems wilwood would put out a better product.

Talking Same Problem, Similar Fix
I incurred the same failure with my Wilwood slave cylinder! I was luckily within a mile of my home and I limped home in second gear.

I also fixed the shaft to the piston with a pin. Works great and no leaks!
