This new, special Shelby Continuation Cobra, is among the finest builds in recent times. The owner of this Diamond Black Beauty, is the owner of the Eight Stack Fuel Injection Company that is featured on this all aluminum 482" 640 HP Engine. The owner is also personal friends and a business associate with Robert Pond and he asked Robert Pond to personally build this tremendous 640 HP all aluminum engine with the new Eight Stack Fuel injection. He also asked Mr. Pond to oversee the engine and drive train installation and the completion of this great car.

... and yet he's selling it without even putting 750 miles on it. Like we've never seen that before....

So, back on track................ is it an aly car that you "must" have or a "CSX"?
Both is ~$150k any way you slice it, new or used. Steve Becker may still have a new black aly roller, finish it your way, you are original owner, I believe he wanted ~$140ish.
CSX painted glass roller new is ~ $80, again, finish it your way.
Now for value, an unpainted Kirkham is CURRENTLY (not sure how long that will last) about half the price of a Shelby aly roller. As you probably know they build 'em for Shelby.
Hope that helps.
Best, Bret.

I get the strong feeling that the OP wants an aluminum CSX at a fiberglass CSX price. And I don't think that will happen now the economy seems to be improving. Maybe back in 2008, when things were in the dumper-roo. I sincerely doubt it now.

Sure! Let me know if you know of one.
I doubt I would be so fortunate. I want Aluminum and a CSX is icing on the cake. Black is the number one choice. Most owners tire of their cars at some point. I would rather buy used at a somewhat depreciated value than buy new and take the big hit.
Still looking but I must say, I saw some photos of a beautiful blue car.

The tricky part is the "somewhat depreciated value."
This place seems to have a few including a couple that are black. I don't know if any are aluminum.

The aluminum roller is $135,000 plus options. So, after buying an FE and a trans plus all the miscellaneous and extraneous nonsense, that's not a lot of profit for the dealer on an $185,000 sale.

there is NO PROFIT for a factory-authorized Shelby Cobra dealer at 185k turn-key on a CSX 4000 alumn car / I think that text w/price is many, many years old...........

Some interesting points ;
1. The 4000 series cherry car , is remarked in the registry as being painted that color from the get go, so changing the color probably would put it in a nebulous state of collector classic as a color-change car.
2. Aluminum CSX 4000 could be built in one of 4 places in over 15 years of production.
3. All of Gregory's cars are glass , he doesn't floor / stock aluminum cars
4. Call Steve Parini at Denbeste motorsports , and order your roller . They probably have something you will like with a K chassis.
as my German grandmother used to say ; " buy quality , it's cheaper "
Steve

I see the black cherry csx car is sold on cobra country. It seems a lot of cars are going to buyers overseas. Why do you think that is? I of coarse kind of track csx cars because you just never know.

I'd guess its because of your dollar, and the increase confidence of buying over the internet.
US "quantitative easing" policy as per the FED through Ben Bernanke means for example our Aussie dollar has gone from buying about $0.60 to now trading at over parity at %1.03. It's a similar story for the Swiss franc.

Lots of countries will not allow a fiberglassed body csx car into their country - it has to be as original - alumn boady and all
