I picked up my trailer on Saturday.
20' enclosed with extension ramps on the beaver tail.
Chrome wheels and of course it's black, now if I could just finish my car

I hope to be at breakfast this Saturday, maybe I'll bring it.

Joe,
Could you explain what the "extension ramps" and "beavertail" are? I'm also in ther market for a 20' trailer, but will probably buy used. I assume that the rear door is a one-piece drop-ramp... Any elaboration or info will be appreciated.

It has one piece rear drop ramp, then a pair of 5' long ramps fold out from there so the approach angle is very slight and the cobra will load with no problem.
I also bought the trailer used well sort of, it was built in April of this year and never towed a car so it's like new.

I'm also in the market for a trailer. I'm not sure what I want, an open or enclosed trailer. How much would something like yours cost, and where would I look to buy on.

Lew, I found this trailer in an ad selling a cobra so you never know.
There is a large trailer place in Tracy, I think it's called travlin toy's.
I would only get an enclosed one for two reasons.
One if you get caught in the rain the car stays dry and the second is if you travel any where with the car you have a place to park it at night.

Hey guy's, any advice on what to use on the walls of the trailer?
It currently is just plywood but I want to finish it white, I have called around and haven't gotten any good answers.
I need some sort of thin smooth laminet, Depot has bumpy stuff so any help would be appreciated.

Why not finish like most other trailers, with alumium. Easy to work with and not very expensive ??

What's the smallest enclosed trailer you can get away with... and I don't want to sit in the car while it's being towed so it has to be big enough for me to exit the car...
Length and width??

We have some guys that have as small as an 18 foot and a couple of us have 24 foot enclosed haulers. Once you get a trailer, you are spoiled and you wish you had something bigger. But before you get the trailer, just be sure you have the right tow vehicle. Also, do NOT skimp on the anti-sway package. I lost my first trailer and a new truck on it's maiden voyage due to lack of anti sway and insufficient tow vehicle(fortunately the car was at home safe and sound). If you are really good you can get away with an undersized tow vehicle but it is like the Purolator commercial..."you can pay me now or you pay me latter".

After you put the car in and a couple sets of tires, generator, grill, gas cans, jack, and the list goes on and on...you really want something bigger.

This all adds up to a quip that Maurice Weaver told me right after we purchased our cobra kit....("that's the least expensive thing you are going to buy"...he said "wait and see, you'll need a trailer and then you will need a big truck to haul it all around"....He was absolutely right.) Have all of the above now.

7, I can't agree more, you never can have enough room in the trailer, miminum of 24ft ( for resell) nor enough vehicle ( truck ) to pull it with. I know they are expensive but you will never regret a F250 or bigger with a Diesel. If you ever tow one trip 500+ mile, it's worth the money.

P.S. Get a four door pickup, they make great daily drivers
