Default STTL event?

I have not seen any post/pictures regarding the STTL, usually we see lots of pictures/post after the event.

Maybe you guys were tired after the long drive or too much Tequila

You know I forgot about that. Rained fairly heavy yesterday with early morning lightning and thunder. Man, I hope they didn't get soaked up there in the mountains. I would have stayed an extra day until the rain passed and roads cleared.

Had a great time. You all missed it. Got some light sprinkles here and there. It was enough to cool things down.

A few of us came back 89 to 88 to 26. Hwy 26 was a blast. Smooth twisty road!!

Hwy 26? I just looked that up on Yahoo Maps - Wow! That is definitely "the road less traveled"! I'm impressed with your adventurousness! I imagine that you were the only ones on that road...

Another great "Snakes" (if I do say so myself ) with 40 or so cars. Our trip to our lunch BBQ took us along the delta (route that we had never used for snakes) and which everyone I talked to agreed was a very scenic and enjoyable and most hadn't been in this area before. The catered BBQ and wine tasting at Perry Creek was a welcome break in the day. On the final leg to Tahoe via Hwy88 the temp started to get around 90 but the route took us thru the El Dorado forest and the trees helped keep us cooler as well as provide more beautiful scenery. Just when it stareed getting warmer we got some brief lite sprinkles to help cool us off. Once at the lake it was to for our reception and more great food (baby ribs, sushi, veggies, salads, dips, cheeses ....you get the idea) which had been arranged by Mike & Debbi McJilton with help fron Lenny & Julie Orr. Sat folks were off to trips around the lake, Wine and crafts fair's in North Lake & Minden, Reno for various activities. For me, the Mcjilton's, Orr's, William's and Chambers it was going to be the Autum Wine Festival at Northstar.................until the weld holding footbox for my master cylinders brokeFortunately, Mike M & Lenny found a local that offered us the use of his Mig welder to make repairs (behind the Rite Aid I was able to roll into). While the "men" did the repairs the wives went off to the Wine festival (now which would you guy's have rather done anyway, work on a car or walk around a craftsfair looking at .... )
We made the repairs in a couple of hours and we all made it back tothe hotel in time for the Mr.P Tequila gathering. As noted we did encounter more light sprinkles in the afternoon but nothing much. All in All a good time at the lake.

Jerome,

You can post them here in the photo gallery, or on photo bucket. Photo bucket is easy, then you can copy the img box on paste in your message.

Mike, I was up in Tahoe on Sat and Sun. Great looking cars. Do you know the name of the guy that owns the yellow car in your picture? When I came by your hotel, I noticed that he has seats and head rests on like I am looking for. Could you please E-mail me his name or have him contact me, my E-mail is sgallegos@charter.net
Thanks Steve
