That was my thought, exactly! You can "fix" the name on the valve covers, but you can't relocate that distributor to the correct end of that engine, no way!!!

Cheers!

A little off topic here but a story about the "right" end of the engine for the distributor. A long time ago my dad had a 72 F100 with a 302. That little engine looked tiny in the engine bay with space all around. I used to work on it and with the distributor up front and all that space it was so easy to change points and set dwell and timing. One day I took it out of town and ran into a huge thunderstorm while driving on the highway. The rain was coming down hard and sideways as I drove into it. Then the engine quit as water blew straight through the grille, over the radiator and onto the distributor. I didn't have any WD40 or tape to seal it up so I just pulled the cap and wiped everything down with an old rag and fired it back up and kept going. Had to do that three times before it finally stayed dry and I got home.

After that I sort of appreciated the rear position of the distributor on my 70 Camaro.
