Trunk Seal
Krewton,
I used the "bulb seal" which was supplied by CRII until I realized that the seal did not make adequate contact with the interior surface of the deck to make it watertight. I had a gap, which was greatest across the top and tapering to none down the sides.
I replace the CRII bulb seal with a larger bulb seal. I found this to work for me.
Mfg. Name: Precision
Mfg. Part #: UWS 160-25 (25 designates the length as 25 feet)
Supplier: J.C. Whitney
Supplier item #: 132561
Cost as of 2009 was $34.99 plus $8.99 S&H
I placed one continuous piece up one side, across the top, and down the opposite side. It was too thick for the gap I had across the bottom. I used the seal from CRII, which was adequate. I was able to tuck the bottom seal, which was smaller, into the upper seal and provide for an overlap. Rather than a butt joint.
Hope this helps. Twood
