Default Seat choices

I need to replace or reupholster my seats. they are grey and I want black. I would like to add shoulder seat belts. Is there a better choice of seats then the one that CR supplied? Any info is appreciated..Thanks

Awhile back, Kit Car Builder had an article on a Cobra build that used seats from the 1995-96 Acura Integra. Mentioned was the need to measure the space as the seats are larger and may not fit all Cobras.

Are you looking into 5 or 6 point harness or just a standard automotive shoulder/lap restraints?

Hi Terry,
I am looking for more of a traditional lap and shoulder belt arrangement. It would be great to find a set of seats that look cobra traditional but offer the shoulder belt with perhaps a built in headrest.
Thanks

I have a set of traditional lap and sholder belts that I received from the "pay it forward" thread. I did not use them because I went with racing lap belts. I can "pay it forward" again to you if you want them. They are black and retractable. There is no hardware or brackets though.

Let me know if you want them. All you would need to do is pay shipping.

I have a set of covers for the CR seats made by CR of Canada. Very easy to replace - just remove staples, remove old covers and put new ones on. They are black. When I first got them they smelled a little of cigarette smoke (woman who made them was a smoker). That was several years ago. They are just sitting in the garage. $75 shipped?

HP,
There is a bulkhead below the package tray that shoulder harnesses can be mounted to, if you like the race style seatbelts. As far as seats, you just need to figure out how original you want to look. I've stuck with the originals and I'm pretty happy with them. A friend (Jdean) had Sube Sport seats in his CR and they were very comfortable. You also might have the option of mounting a pad to the rollbar instead of a headrest.
