Default Steering Wheel Question

I wanted to ask if anyone is using a Wood wheel with the chevette Steering Colummn. I took delivery on my Cobra last week and the biggest thing that bugs me is the wheel.
Thanks,Scott

I have the Moto-Lita wood steering wheel but not the Chevette column. I like it. Congrats on your new car.

I have the Chevette column and a Momo (I think that is what is says)steering wheel. The steering wheel has six screws where it screws to the adapter, if that helps.

Scott,
Not sure you were also asking in the PM you sent if an IDIDIT column would work?
Absolutely as well as one from Flaming River. Either Column is an excellent choice.

PS you will need to purchase a mounting bracket as neither column mounts up with the CR's hardware.

I have a wood wheel with the Chevette column. See my gallery. Lots of adapters out there. Find the wheel you like and see if there is an adapter kit for it.

I have the wooden steering wheel on a Chevette column on my CR as well.
Don't remember the brand but it is french (FTF). I think I got it from Finish Line
but that was over 10 years ago so not too sure of my memory. LOL

I have the same Chevy S-10 column and Nardi wheel, same six mounting screw set up. Before I put on the Nardi, it had a Momo. I still have the Momo, but I wanted a bigger diameter wheel. I think I have a 15 inch now and the Momo is about 13 inches. I'm not positive, but I believe the Grant uses a different wheel mounting. If you get the right adapter, any of these can be made to fit.
