Whoever built my car put a newer style manually dimming mirror (flip tab when your blinded) that is designed to be glued on a windshield and mounted it on the dash. Does it look period correct? Nope. BUT it stays put and when all these lovely HID headlights in the SUVs and trucks are me I can flip the tap and not be blinded
