Do a search here for the ERA striping diagram. I used it on my CRL Cobra and it looks great.

Brian,
First thing you do is find "center". Easy to do if you drop the windshield in place. Then use the two lower holes in the frame, find the center there and wal-LA!

I simply take a 2" roll of masking tape and run it front to back, in one long strip using the center mark to line things up. Then from the outside edge of this strip, at the dash area, I mark out 11"s. I then run the tape foreward to the nose, "tapering" the front down to about 8 1/2"s.

I also start to taper the rear down, from the front cowl almost immediately. The outside edge of the rear stripe ends up just about 3/4" from the trunk edge.

Hope this makes sense!

Post Hey BrianBhoy !

Cobra Stripes For Classic Roadster's Cobra

Here are the cobra stripe diminsions for a Classic Roadster that correspond to the original stripes but are enlarged to meet the longer and wider wheel base.

front bottom to bottom of opening
(including oil cooler) 6"
top of front opening to engine comp 7"
hood scoop opening 7 1/2"
back of hood 8"
passenger compartment 8 1/4"
passenger compartment back 8 1/4"
top of trunk 8"
trunk down 10" toward rear bottom 7 3/4"
top of plate holder mold 6 3/4"
bottom of trunk 6 1/4"
bottom of car 6"

Also, the inside of the engine compartment and trunk compartment was treated like an overspray with the paint only going 1/4" down, not the entire depth of the mold. No stripes were under the hood or trunk as some I have seen.

The width of the space between the stripes is still 1" but can be widened to 1 1/16" depending on how you feel about it.

Sorry for the delay,
