Default More Brakes

I've been redoing the brakes for what I hope is the last time, and want to make sure I have everything plumbed in that I need. I did away with the stock proportioning valve and put in the Wilwood adjustable for the rears. I think some of this has been covered here before, but I can't find it now.

First question: What does the blue wire #156 that is supposed to go to the factory proportioning valve do?? Does that just go to a low pressure indicator light or does it also activate the brake lights. I don't really care if I have the indicator light or not, but if that's also what turns on the brake lights, would I need to plumb in a pressure sensor? If that wire doesn't have anything to do with the brake lights, what activates them??

Second question: I decided to put in a line lock for the front brakes while I have everything back apart. Does anyone know how sensitive they are to heat? I've been trying to get as much as possible away from that header. I put the proportioning valve on the drivers side frame rail on the way to the rear. Not very accessible from the engine compartment, but once it's set I shouldn't be messing around with it much anyway. I don't see any place on the way to the front brakes that I can really mount the line lock other than on the firewall. I can move it up beside the brake booster, but I know that header still throws a lot of heat up there. I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Wade

The blue #156 wire is for the brake warning light on the stock prop valve. You don't need it for brake lights. The brake lights are activated by a switch on the brake pedal rod where the booster hooks on to the pedal. The line lock should work fine on the firewall by the booster. There isn't enough heat there to make it malfunction. You would need to be within about 2 inches of the header for it to cause a problem.
