Art,

Sounds like a nice combination.....Mind if I ask Anthony for a few "in progress" shots for my web page????

Bernie,

Found one in Florida of all places....At an estate sale in Miami...Got it for a little less than 8K US..(yes, a GT to boot)..My friend in need could not pass up a bargain as good as that.....Thanks for asking.

My cobra is also in the paint shop this winter. Visited her this morning, She has gone through several block and sanding sections since she was dropped off. She will be painted 50th anniversery Corvette red with two 10" Corvette white stripes. The body shop, (Body Works Unlimited) here in MASS, is one of the best in the area. It should come into the $5,000 range.

Anyone in this area that made it to the car show last September at the "Big E" saw a blue FFR Cobra painted by Body Works, next to the Shell Valley Display.

Two weeks she should be home for final construction, CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING!!!...SEE YOU OUT THERE!

Stuart

I have a Unique Car that required it all. The paint job is excellent and it has stripes. We finished it under the wheel wells back about 3 inches. We worked on all the door jams, hood, trunk, ect. Has won best paint in several shows and Top Ten Car at the Muscle Car Nationals. Paint cost $7200.00, with that said my painter would want 8,000-8,200 to do another one.

Tongue pirate,
Well after an hour of watching the man move the tape and measure and move it again,I got bored and went home. Just got call to come and see finished product. oh boy oh boy I'm excited.
Feel like a kid in a candy shop!!!

I have had good luck finding guys who will moonlight outside their day job, most of the 10k paint jobs are done by a guy making 15 or 20 bucks an hour, the trick is getting one of the good ones, when you do ,chances are he will work at home for "cash"wages versus paying the shop who is in business to profit .
I find it interesting when you go to a rod run or car show and ask or comment on the paint ,a high percentage of nice cars were done by the owner {who is a banker.etc} or a buddy who paints at home, lots of talent out there if you can get outside the loop.Tk
