Default Brakes continued...

Don, thanks for responding so thoroughly about the CR brake problem. My car is a '92 and I haven't had decent brakes yet !

I would love to have a new pedal with the new pivot point and I will call Pete to order one.

I am in the middle of pulling the motor to install a newly done 427 center oiler. I would like to change from a C6 to a standard transmission, so I quess I would need a clutch pedal also. How about a clutch cable as well? Do you have themm too or a part number that I can get from a loval supplier.

What transmission and bell housing would you recommend? Presently, I have 355:1 gears in the rear. I would like to have a tranny with a highway gear ( for long trips). I have read some posts about the tremec TKO and the toploader. Or should I call someone else like David Kee ?

I am trying to get things done in time for DVSF IV. I know, I know, I left it a little late, but the garage was too cold to do much earlier.

Thanks Paul

Paul, Pete can help with the clutch pedal. The only way to setup the trans is with a hydraulic throw out bearing. You can use a stock bellhousing but I would suggest a scattershield. You will need to mount a clutch master cylinder on the firewall and fabricate a mounting point on the clutch pedal for the rod. I would suggest you call David Kee or Southern Automotive as I'm sure they can set you up with everything for the changeover.
