Great!!!

That's what I was hoping. So if I can find bushings that are 3" in length then those should work. This was the last thing holding Kevin up in getting the new lower arms done.

Thanks DV!!!!

Let me know if/when you need me to start helping to find those pain-in-the-a$$ upper rear bushings.

DV,

I found the bushings for my control arm project and ordered them from Summit. I'm having them drop ship to Kevin and hopefully he'll be able to finally get the lower arms done

You never got me the gas peddle info. Can I use this?

http://www.lokar.com/product-descrip...-xl-pedals.htm

The volt meter showed up yesterday. I'll being that over, when I bring the tranny.

Any thing you need?

Cheers,

Ed

Ed,
This one will work better. It has a solid mounting plate. Will need a matching Lokar throttle cable too.

Ok...

Any suggestions on length you need for the cable?

They offer a 24" and a 36"

http://www.lokar.com/product-descrip...tle-cables.htm

I can get it ordered ASAP.

Ed

I have front coil overs (never used) and maybe rears too. Let me see after I meet with DV tomorrow. If my bank account holds out, maybe I'll swap out the rear coil overs before the car hits the street.

filler neck? Are you planning on using a inline neck? If so, I got one from Summit. I'll post the part #.

Windshield wiper unit? Got mine from FinishLine. Again I'll talk with DV tomorrow and if it looks like the one I got is the right one, I'll pass along the part numbers.

Talk to DV about the soft top.

Ed
ED did you get the part # for the windsheld wiper unit? Thanks Dave

Dave,
All you need to do is call Finish line, no part number is needed. Just tell them a complete wiper system for trhe CR and you will get wht you need minus the tubes for the cables. If this turns out to a problem let me know and I will explain it to you,

DV,

Just place an order with Summit for the following...

1) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
2) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
3) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

The brake pad is back ordered, but thats just a "look nice" anyway. Had the order dropped shipped to your place

Dave,

Here's the link to the wiper motor...

I'll finish the list of extra parts I have this week and get it to you. I know I have the front coil-overs, new set of rear upper control arms and a nice Fradenza aluminum flywheel.

DV,

I bit the bullet and ordered the Australian side louvers

Lets hope they fit or are close enough that you can massage them into working. I hope their quality matches their $$$

As soon as I get a delivery date, I'll pass it on.

Default Cpt Eddies hood latches

With Huckelberry's permission...This is how I install the hood latches; first draw a parallel line throught the inner high bracing on the inside of your hood-either corner will work. Then draw a 90' line from the parallel line in the bracing to where the hood bumper is going to hit. About three inches toward the center part of the hood corner. I used a 3/8's drill but you can use a little smaller one if you want but I fill all this in later anyway. Drill all the way through keeping the drill straight. Then on the ouside use a 13/16's drill JUST to drill through the top layer of the hood. Use the gasket for a pattern and then cut out the slots for the hood latch.

Mount with 8/32's wood screws (chrome preferably) Now take a measurement from the top of the hood and the side and duplicate it to the other side. and repeat. Now your latches will come out the same.
Put you "wedge" on and adjust it to the proper height and dont forget to allow the hood to be flush when you have the bumpers in place!

l

About this time WD is going to chime in saying this is different than what I told him Yes it is, this is the new and improved way for guys that have the ability. WD you will find when you are done the "wedge" doesn't fit well under the built in latch-where the bumpers go. Answer:

Hood mechanism standing up in a vice, grabbing it fairly close to the bottom, get a 1/4" open wrench in one hand and a torch with a fine tip in the other. Heat up the shaft about a 1" down from the bell on the latch, put the wrench on the 1/4" streel shaft and twist it about half way. This will posistion it directly under the flange of the body. Now it may still be a little long so add about a 1/4" of Marglass under the lip about 6"s long. When hardened and you have the twist where you want it, and the bumpers in place holding the hood at the right height put your wedge on tighthen the allen screw, then by using a "cut-off" wheel/tool you can finish cutting off the extra lenght of the rod right where you want it.

Results; tight fitting hood latch and it really looks good.

DV-just 2 more cents.......

Does anybody care or am I just wasting valuable time? Anybody have questions? I know I'm not that good at giving directions!

Ed; Jegs just brought your fuel filter ( absolutely perfect for the center bar), black lug nuts and black anodized fittings. Well done!

Sweet!!!

You should have some more stuff showing up from Summit this week. Gas peddle and throttle cable.

And by the way... I care. Any new pictures of the car? Where are we at with the build? I know, I know... You need the rear lower arms. I'm working on it

Cheers,
Ed

Doors and hood now fit as they should, re-primed those, window is (temp) mounted should be just about ready to take the body off.
DV
PS new fire breathing computer should be here by Wed's tops, maybe then I'll be able to get some pictures easily. Took me two hours to post your hood latch yesterday!

Default Stripe color

DV,

Here's the color of the stripe I think would look good with the blue.

Here's the color code. Hopefully you can cross reference it to Dupont.
Lambo Titanium 210-600

Glad to hear your new super computer is on its way!!!

Wow, Is it just my optical dilusion or is that hood scoop crooked? Could be the shadows. Sure looks funny to me. Maybe I shouldn't tilt my head when viewing.
