DV do you have a guess at how much you can have the tops made up for, and about how much time it will take ? thanks Dave

Dave,
The first top I was expecting never showed up,(?). In fact I just left the custom upholstery place a couple of hours ago with a streetrod, the first thing he asked me was about the tops. I told him for sure I had one on the way and as soon as I get it it will be in his hands! I know the first top, making upholstery patterns, header pattern, bow and window patterns will take a little time but after that it should go very quick, BUT I have no time frame and no cost on them until he at least sees what I am asking! Sorry....

Ed,
Another option, strtictly an option no personnel feelings involved but here is a shifter that mounts below the tunnel directly to the C-6 allowing a 6" handle. This will at least drop the shifter to around you elbow or lower instead of being 'shoulder' height!
Just thought you might like to look at it before we install the B&M large shifter?.

DV
PS, I think the one in the picture is a 10" or 18" handle. It's Lokars C-6 shifter

Ok DV,
As I said before, I have no concerns going with any of your advise and recommendations. So....
Don't open the "arm pit" height B&M shifter. I just ordered the 6" transmission mount shifter and boot/indicator from Lokar all in midnight black like the peddle set
http://www.lokar.com/product-descrip...iftind-kit.htm
Summit had it back ordered so I paid a slight premium to get it before this weekend direct from Lokar.

Ed,
It was only a comment not a request...............But since it is done I really think you will like it better. Did you order the LED shift indicator? Not needed, just another gadget in case you ever want to see what gear you are in. Can be mounted in the dash (over the column?) on the shifter console itself, heck in the trunk if you want!
Ok I'll quit thinking now.

I really think this will be a much better solution than the B&M. I did get everything to go with it. I got the boot ring that has it set so the gear indicator can be mounted on the left hand side vertically.
Let me know if you know anyone looking for a good deal on a never used B&M shifter.... Maybe there's a Willy's owner in need of a spare
If I ordered the right things... It should look like this when done.

Glove Box Goodies
DV/Capteddie
The stuff we keep in the glove box is an aloe gel, not arnica . Sorry about that. I wouldn't want you to get busted for a controlled substance.
Captain Eddie if you can get a couple of pics over the weekend that would be great. Jan and I are going to meet up with some others from Mid-Atlantic Cobra on Saturday and do a little tour. (In Delaware it would have to be a little tour) Don't be jealous they are forecasting 96+ on Saturday so it could help with any overweight issues.

CptEd,
I know I wouls miss the glove box in my car so I did a little searching around, Finiah line did it again. Even looks to be an upgrade and the same shape as CR's- Once again at least it is an option: http://www.finishlineaccessories.com...love%20Box.jpg

If you say it'll work. I'll order one and get it shipped to you.

CptEd/DV,
I use my glove box to carry spare fuses, relays and Arneca gel for people that burn their legs on the side pipes. It really is quite handy. Are there any new pictures posted of the build?

Jim,
Ya the glove box can have an upside. I ordered the one from Finishline and DV can finesse it into the dash.
I'll be at DVs place this Saturday, so I'll take some new pics on where the build is at.

A new computer, new camera thanks to Cpt. Ed, and I am having start up problems switching my old photgraphs to this computer and getting them organized. Not much to see at this point, dash has been modified, gauges and switches are in, column is in, (now this is really cool!) NO SLOT in the dash - "open upside horseshoe" By making a custom support, using flaming rivers drop bracket ($80.00 +/- you'll never see) column goes straight through the dash now..pretty neat.
I'll get my pictures worked out soon, promise.
DV
PS>Cpt Ed....you sure have been quiet about those lower control arms?????????

Ok. I was going to wait till later today, but...
I was told yesterday that they're done!!!! I'm leaving work around 2 today to get out to Kevin's shop and pick them up. I just talked to my powder coater and he's going to wait at his place for me to drop them off. I won't be bringing them with me on Saturday but Ray is going to put a rush on the coating job and then over night them to you early next week.
I'll post a pic of them later tonight for the final proof there really done
