Bill, you know a lot more about these cars than I do. So I'm not going to argue about much of anything.

But, I built a Classics Roadsters about 15 years ago. IIRC, It had a center mounted hood latch that looked just like that. I remember it because it was very difficult to get it to work correctly. That was before digital cameras, so I don't have a lot of pictures.

The shape of the dash and the doors also looks very much like a CR.

Where are you located? I lived in Sicily for a couple of years, and really loved it. I dream of going back for a visit, and to see more of the main land.
I live in Caserta near Naples . The site of Reggia , the most beatiful Royal Palace in the world ( Bill Clinton said ).

So, ther'is no doubt that the car is an Excalibur Cobra ? The Vin number help us to identificate surely the car ?
