Default Hello from Italy

Hello : I'm an Italian enthusiast of all Cobras . Now I've find an old 427 replica in a barn with only 3000 km on the clock and a tubular chassis and a Montecarlo plate. The car is in timewarp condition but it have a v8 with a strange brand on the cover . " M/T " . What's the builder of this engine ?

Welcome to the forum, micoren. Are you buying the Cobra? The M/T on the valve covers is for Mickey Thompson. Probably not the engine builder, but parts bought for the engine.
Do you have any pictures.

Yes, pictures of the engine bay, interior, side shot, back shot, front. There are many experts here that can help you identify the maker of the car. The motor can be identified by the number cast on the block. Numbers like this:

Welcome!
More pics as noted above will help...front, back, full side and the engine compartment. Also, when in the engine compartment look for any manufacturer's ID tags and get a pic of them as well.
Good luck!

Turned dash, red seats, there was an A&C (not AC) Cobra replica sold out of Utah a year or so ago with that combination. More pictures would be helpful.

The car have a manual gear , with a safety trigger under the shift knob, probabily to prevent the accidental use of the reverse gear

Hello Micoren - welcome to Club Cobra. The shape of the front part of the door indicates that it is probably a replica built by Classic Roadsters with a stretched wheelbase of 96 (I think) inches vs. 90 inches used on original Cobras and the more authentic shaped replicas. There was another company that used this same body style in a factory-produced, production certified replica called the Excalibur. The Excaliburs were powered by fuel injected Ford 5.0 litre V8's mated to a T5 manual transmission. If your car has telescopic impact absorbing bumpers, cosmetic body-mounted roll bar and production car style seatbelts, then it is probably one of these. If it has plain hard-mounted bumpers or quick jacks, a racing style harness and a roll bar mounted through to the frame, then my bet is that its a Classic Roadsters product.

Having seen photos of Excalibur dashboards, I think this is more likely to be a Classic Roadsters car.

Thank you at all. I'll go back in the old garage to make more photo and see the papers . If it's a Classic roadster what's the correct value ?

That is a kind of hard question to answer without knowing all about the car. The quality of the build has a lot to do with the value. Also all of the other things the members have posted above.

If possible, try to get the car up enough to also get pics of front and rear suspension as well as the chassis. All will help.

Excalibur cobra replica it is, the "tell" is the center mounted hood latch/release.

Bill, you know a lot more about these cars than I do. So I'm not going to argue about much of anything.

But, I built a Classics Roadsters about 15 years ago. IIRC, It had a center mounted hood latch that looked just like that. I remember it because it was very difficult to get it to work correctly. That was before digital cameras, so I don't have a lot of pictures.

The shape of the dash and the doors also looks very much like a CR.
