Default Electronic Fuel Pump

The fuel pump on my longstar classic is very noisy. Does anyone have a suggestion of a fuel pump that is less noisy?

You should not be able to hear your fuel pump over the sound of your side pipes.

Mallory 140 series, #29259, you will need to use a fuel pressure regulator

#1....Aeromotive by far. Expensive, but has the fewest problems and longest living.

After several brands of electric pumps left me at side of road, switched to Edelbrock mechanical. Years of no problems and complete glorious silence. Delete switch, wireing relay fuse inertia switch etc. Tow truck driver stated electric fuel pumps are significant portion of his business.

I had the same problem, so I purchase a Edelbrock 1725, Mechanical fuel
pump and just install it. Runs great, no more noisy.

I ran these Carter fuel pumps for years: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crt-p4594

Notice I said pumpS? I always ran 2, because you never knew when one would quit.

You can hear the whir when you turn one on, but as soon as you start the engine that sound is gone.

I have just installed Holley Sniper EFI with in-tank pumps. So I have two old Carter pumps available along with an external regulator if you need them.
