40K including paint (I see you asking about paint shops in another topic).
Figure another 15K at least for an engine/trans.
That's going to be a stretch.
What are you looking for? If you want a Cobra, then you'll almost certainly overrun your budget or not be satisfied with the result or abandon it in the garage. Cobras have a unique attribute: There isn't a single straight line on one. That makes fabrication all the more complicated and takes a fair amount of skill.
If you're looking to build something - and I totally agree that is an admirable goal - then there are other kits that are (1) lots cheaper and (2) lots easier to build that (3) increase your chances of a successful project.
