Rick Muck at Time machines has a flasher system package available.

I would be curious to know what you need to change on the lighting to pass inspection where you are. I’m considering adding an addendum to my wiring diagrams to cover that issue state by state. Also the padded visors, love to see a few photos of them along with any other required changes.
Anyone who wants to contribute to the list can email me with what they were required to change and their state.

Default UPDATE: The NYS Registration process is complete!

Got the plates on Monday April 3 2023. Took the first drive with a neighbor to monitor gauges and help check for leaks. After that, I took the wife for a ride.

Tuesday afternoon was pretty nice too. So I drove to my buddies house. He's going to fabricate a front license plate bracket for me. Front plates are required in NYS even though some drive with out them.

Over all the NY registration process was very straight forward. Every DMV employee I dealt with was extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about these folks.

There are of course requirements that must be satisfied. Here is a list of things
I had to add to my Superformance.
1 - Padded visors. My wife sewed a couple of felt pockets that slide over the plastic visors and secure along the hinged edge with velcro.

2 - Padded dash. At Rick Muck's (@Mark IV) suggestion, I used foam pipe insulation over the edge of the body above the dash.

3 - Hazard lights. As noted, Rick Muck offers a kit for this but I chose to wire it up myself. I purchased a schematic from @Blas which is very detailed and helped me wire the hazards myself.

4 - Reverse light. I used the same lights @Blackbart used to register his ERA. One light is a reverse light and a 3rd brake light mounted above the license plate. A second DOT rated reverse light is mounted below the body. I mounted it using angle aluminum and adding a couple nuts on the mounting studs for the gas tank straps.

See New York Registration Process

NY has some other requirements including Wipers, Defroster, seat belts, horn,
exhaust system, speedometer, tamper resistant odometer, mirrors, bumpers. My car had all these. Note: quick jacks appeared to satisfy the bumper requirement. Also note worthy, NYS requires emissions based on the year of the engine installed in the vehicle.

Sorry for rambling on. The process does take some time but was pretty straight forward.

Bob
