How long it takes depends on how many cars they have to finish ahead of you. Seems like it's typically about a year, plus or minus a bit. As for the chassis number, I visited ERA shortly after my chassis came back from powder coating and they had just put the chassis number plate on it, so you would likely have a number by then. I would guess they assign a chassis number once you put a deposit in and they create a build file. Oh, and something you'll read over and over in multiple threads - it's well worth the wait!
