this is a poor one piece design... The runners are not optimal for volumetric efficiency... The one I am building is a 3 piece design. it will be amazing, the photo I will attach is a Crossram we designed for a small Block, in a friends pantera. The one I am designing building is for a FE.

You should look on fe power net, his is 3 parts I believe. The base and the two separate sides.

That Gurney Westlake small block brings back memories. My Dad built an engine with those heads and webers for his '65 289 Cobra in 1967. I learned to drive a stick in that car, it was a rocket !

Next up is the fabrication of the crank/damper spacer. It will go on a lathe to accommodate the crank trigger wheel to keep it behind the damper (out of site). We are asking Jones Racing to custom build a pully setup for an FE. We will need to fab up a Alt bracket to mount the Denso sytle alternator down low to keep it out of the way of the plumbing required for the cross ram... the alt bracket in the photo is made from cork board material to get a template for the CAD guy.

OK made some progress, I decided I did NOT want all the current running through a gauge under my dash so I decided to get a new smiths volt meter. I installed it , tested it all is good. I have a BRAND new Lucas AMP gauge for sale (cheap) $60 if some one wants it...
I mocked up the new pulley set as well...

Well worth the wait. Steve and Leslie at Moorison are VERY talented people. Additionally Neil (those of you who are local to Bay Area) know who neil is. Very talented as well, he and Steve worked for 18 months on this design. All I can say is it was well worth the wait...Steve is still working on the linkage, but here is a preview of the Moorison Cross ram for FE. AMAZING.

Mike - that looks sensational! So, you can check/adjust valve clearances with your FE installation :) (can't do that on a Windsor).
Great pictures too!
Cheers,
Glen

because this is the first one Steve and Leslie have done...this was specifically designed by Neil (local danville builder) and Morrison, took a year and a half to develop/fabricate /design. Moorison does EVERYTHING IN HOUSE, the throttle bodys, the castings for the runners, linkage EVERYTHING Moorison I feel is the best manufacture for Cross ram manifolds in the world and this is his first one...

more progress, a custom bracket made for the oil filter adapter. The view of the head plates, the IAC sensor the bottom end is done now. WE are waiting on the linkage and fuel rails. You can see how Morrison drilled the head plates so the IAC can see each runner.
