When I di that swap in my CCX I purchased a low profile efficient fan from Speedway. It works perfect and was very low profile allowing more than enough room which a std CCX has plenty of.
It attached via pull tabs through the core, designed that way.
I live in the NE so larger diameter was not necessary. I would in hindsight just maximize diameter to best suit the cooling as we all know these cars heat up.
