I will use Intercity again next time I need to transport a car.
I've used both Reliable and Intercity, and consider them equal and interchangeable for the reasons of the fleet and drivers. For me it's which one can meet my schedules best and it's been about 50-50. But the last time when I moved my Ford GT from Colorado to Nevada on short notice, Reliable whose dispatch told me it was months out I spoke directly with the guy that organized group "moves" for the Ford GT rallys, and he had me on a truck that week. That was great customer service. (It was a super secret truck that I was the first one off, the next pick up was in Vail, and those cars had to be unloaded before I could be there. I saw one, and it was a Hellcat with all the instrumentation for high-altitude testing. Truck driver said the Dodge test drivers were there to load and unload - like them, I drove straight through and beat the truck by a few hours - and that they "weren't drivers but looked like 16 year old computer whiz kids.".

I used Intercity to ship my Cobra from Chicago, IL to Raleigh NC... They were excellent!

One thing I learned is most shipping carriers run West-East/East-West in the Northern half and likewise in the Southern half of the US. They then run North-South/South-North on the East and West Coast...

So my Cobra had to go from Chicago, IL to NJ(or MA can't recall)... then from NJ to Raleigh, NC. It cost almost 2X what a direct route would have cost but it arrived in perfect condition.

So as you check on carriers try to understand their routes as well.

Good luck...

My generalization of shipping the Cobra and GT to various locations with Intercity and Reliable was they charge about $1/mile. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less but it's a bogey.

I would not use Enclosed Vehicle Transport. I had them transport a car in 2003 and it arrived in an enclosed car trailer behind a pickup truck with great personal and private door to door service. I used them again this year for the same service and got a call from the guy when he was 40 minutes from my house telling me he probably couldn’t get his rig closer than a couple miles away from my house and I’d have to meet him in a parking lot and pick up the car. With a rainstorm on the way. With an untitled, unregistered, uninsured Cobra I had never driven before. And no trailer or second driver to get me there. I finally got him to park his rig on the main road in front of my neighborhood and had to drive it home with no checkout, nothing on a stone cold motor before the rain started. Clutch was a major issue and I ended up with some problems due to having to drive it that way. So EVT took my door to door fee and created an enormous last minute problem that could have ended in all kinds of minor disasters. So be careful when you pay for driveway to driveway service if the company is using a giant rig to economize trips. I ended up barely lucky.
