Johan with the double peace sign looks as if he is attempting to fabricate a system to carry all four girls at once.....
We should have left the cars at a Savannah mini storage facility, bagged the races, and gone to a shoe show again, but then I would not have won my "non race".
a couple of times I remember
Me at 1:21 in the pintoid flyer,
1:17 in the cup car by Johan in non race,
faster but unknown by Robert Tornello in the Lola with 7 spark plugs connected.
Dave Crace at 1:29
1:24 in gt40
Hooters girl doing 1:54 in rsr with boobs about to burst under breaking going into turn 1. I think TC has a video of this.
aNYBODY else keep scores ?

Spydee--
I was running low 1:27's with a few laps in the 1:26's while my tires were still fresh. Average times were around 1:29-30 when we were out cruzin. We both got real tired of peddling on the straights in the 944-- any slower and we'll cut out the floorboards and start Flintstoning" for extra boost. That Pinto of yours sure tracked through the corners, and, as a bonus, I had to lift in the straights to let you by--not an everyday experience in my car! Heard that you still had the brunette hanging around for more--what is that mojo of yours?
Has Johan come up for air yet?

Nice pictures, I guess one out of four girls with actual Hooters is the norm. I even went to a place called Mellons on the way to Key west and found no Hooter or Mellon girls.

Rick
Who was taking lap times??? I should have been timed with a sundial but with all the clouds it would not have worked.
For all of those who did not attend you missed a great time.

Spydee,
I will be taking a stop watch to some of my in car footage but I hung with Davey and Rick when my tires were well, and I clearly hung with Tornello in the rain. Oh, and I must have passed a Hooter girl at some point in some white Porsche

Ruble-
In car hot-lap timers.
Mike- I don't know about the Smokey thing, I wouldn't want to rely on that approach on singles nite.

Ruble,
You are a helluva of a sport!!!!! I hope all you guys thought the trip and event was worth it and fun. I must say I am most impressed how you man handled those serpents and I got to witness how you all became one with the track!!
Speaking of which, I need my Cobra to chase away the other serpents. While I was gone for a week, a Mamma Copperhead decided to move even closer to my house. Two sightings in one day--not good. Nice big fat one who does not know, or care, who is paying the mortgage.
Signed,
TC, reptile habitat manager, and non-relative to Steve Irwin

Wow, finally came home after Johan ran out of food. No easy task since he kept going to the Piggly Wiggly to get food for his family We finally called it a week when all he had to eat was fruit loops. Thanks Johan for a great week. The no rules no race was a blast. I only got to catch the tail end of it as I was at the tire store replacing my worn out tires. But managed to enter at the end and see smoke from Rubles Cobra. Glad it wasn't anything major, it looked like it just added some racing patina.
TC, I guess you had time to post all these pictures after abandoning your family at the beach I promise next year we will move up to at least a 2 star resort, but we can't be too far from Johans refridgerator.
Had a great time running with you guys.

Johan
Is it to early to start trying to get an invitation for next year? I will even try to find some wild kids to add to the mix if it helps my position. You are to be commended for hoisting such an event.

Wow, 19 pages of babble .
I am finally back, and it is hard to believe that a week ago we were all looking forward to the events and now it is just a memory. Thanks to everyone for the signed picture frame with the hooters girls in it. I think they were a big hit with almost everyone, and I promise to bring a puzzle or something for TC to play with next time.
Sorry about the low turn out of the group 3 guys, I guess it was a combination of the noise restrictions, and the "rinky dink" nature of the event. It took Dave Crace and family 3 days to eat the leftovers.
It seems everyone had fun driving , nobody got in trouble, nothing major broke, and all are safely home.

Johan--
You have NOTHING to be sorry about--what a fabulous time!
If I had known what a problem the leftovers would be, I'd have loaned Erik to bat clean-up.
The pictures of Erik and I with the Hooters girls are a real hit at my office-- the staff now realizes that this car thing is serious busin-ass

It should be noted with pride that the only "incidents" we had we a few off road excursions with no property or people damage. And this was with some new-to-the-track drivers in high powered machines. Everyone allowed passing as indicated by the rules even when track instincts urged one to hold the line and "let them get around me anyway they can:, especially when driving a smaller displacement car. There was always an air of cooperation, fellowship and respect. Thats what it is all about.
Now, can we do this again, oh say, next week? cb
