Not Ranked
Doc, I just learned of this thread, sorry haven't chimed in earlier. Bay Bottom Crawl may not be the kind of thing you want to plan on spectating at! It's an awesome event to run, but not much can be seen from the pit area. May be worth looking at for future participation orientation tho...OR why don't some of you enter and run with us this year? This is racing the way the Conchs have done it for 40+ years. I have a little album about it at http://members3.clubphoto.com/john25...ner-8323.phtml if you'd like to see a little more about it.
Sugarloaf Lodge is convenient to the race location and is probably where I'll put in this year. Staying in Key West means more time driving back and forth, but the accomodations and eats are better there. Sugarloaf Lodge has a restaurant and pool and 50's era ambiance...and maybe this year the pool will have water, the restaurant will have wait staff and cooks, and the rooms will be better than last time I stayed there!
I'm planning to drive down starting early Friday a.m. Oct. 10, register that evening, practice on Saturday Oct. 11, go to the BBC banquet Saturday p.m., then race Sunday Oct. 12, and maybe stay all night before returning home Monday. Sorry can't participate in the Poker Run. Hope you guys have a blast. Let me know if I can be any help. I don't check in here very often; now that we're back on a dial up modem this site takes forever to load and navigate. See ya!
