Yes, they're very handy. That's a 50 amp one, if I recall, and sits between the battery and the entire wiring harness (except the full dump to the starter motor). Remember, most of the time there's very little current crossing it, even if you have your fans, lights, wipers, turn signals, and horn all going off at the same time.
