No Lo Beam, What Did I Do?

What about Fuse #8? Check that for the low beams. If fuses 7 and 8 are good, then it pretty much has to be either the dimmer relay, the dimmer switch, or a connection between them. Try wiggling the connections and plicking the relay with your finger while you simultaneously hit the dimmer switch with the car ON. If all of that fails, I would replace the dimmer relay with VW Part # 111 941 583.

I have low beams, fuses 7 and 8 are good. Also, I have a Triumph column. I'm sure I knocked something loose, I will crawl underneith tomorrow.

OK, with the Triumph column there is no dimmer relay, so don't bother replacing it. Here's the wiring on it -- you must have pulled one slightly loose.

Patrickt, thank you. I must have missed this. I looked at the assy. manual, wiring diagram, connection diagram and adendums. PM me if you need to.


BTW my car is in the 100-334 car series, I don't know how applicable the above diagram is.
