Yes-through bolt the mounts. I de-laminated mine at the drag strip. It can cock and jam your throttle linkage if it goes over-besides things hitting under the hood.
Don't be rushing to shim big things-your car's no different than 6 or 700 other ERAs. Assemble and see what you've got first.
