<= 2150 curb with 10 gal of fuel would be great. That would put it at 2315 with me in it and 4.8 lb/hp. Just not sure I can hit it. Most of the components I am using are either upgrades or I need them to help me fit in the car. I weigh them and post in case someone else can use the info, but I am conscious of the goal and cut where ever I can.

Comparable wt/hp

2400 lb => 500 hp
2500 lb => 521
2600 lb => 541
2700 lb => 562
2800 lb => 583
2900 lb => 604

~ 20 hp per 100 lbs.

Been wanting to weigh this for a long time - 272 lb. Can't help but think about adapting an aluminum Ford 8.8. :).

The business has been growing at an extreme pace. I had to move the machine shop for the 3rd time in 2 two years and I need to move it again. It really put a crimp on building. All we can do is push it to the side and put the cover on it - we're moving again.

Hope things are well with you.

6.5kg.... they have awesome stuff . They can toolroom copy anything. There range of racing parts for vintage racers is just out of this world. Would recommend anyone just to down load and spend hours just looking thro it.

You keep pushing to weight saving boundary and your be at 2000 in no time.

2000 is down there - am trying to hit 2100. Trying to get there with aluminum wheels and stock exhaust. That would leave me mag wheels and a lighter exhaust for an additional 70, but will need a boat load of money to get them. :LOL:

I purchased a Quaife gear driven dif. and sent it and the housing to "XKs Unlimited". They are assembling. Hope to have it back in a couple of weeks.
