I've got 2.88's with the Richmond 5 speed and my build is a lot like ERA 778's (a 428 with about 500HP). With a big block, that combination is nearly perfect. You could plug the numbers into a calculator and come up with specific RPMs at specific speeds but as i recall, mine turns about 2700 RPMs at 70 or 75MPH. That's right in the sweetspot for my cam. For my build, the gear spacings and cruising RPMs are perfect. \
